Isaiah Explores Christianity

Cameron and Isaiah

Last month over MLK weekend, nearly 1,000 Cru staff and students gathered in SoCal for our annual Winter Conference. For our students, it’s a long weekend of teaching from the Word, training in evangelism, worship, prayer and vision before the semester begins.

One of those students was Isaiah (pictured with Cameron). He is a freshman in my (Cameron’s) dorm Bible study at Sac State. He has been exploring Christianity this year, has been regularly involved in our community, and is eager to learn.

At the conference, Isaiah got to hear the good news about God’s desire for relationship with us and how Jesus came to rescue and restore us from the brokenness of sin. He listened to student testimonies, heard stories about missions and what God is doing around the world, and attended seminars about how the gospel impacts different areas of our lives. And he got to do all of this in the context of community with other Sac Cru students (pictured right).

Please pray for Isaiah as he continues to wrestle with God post-conference. Pray that he would see clearly his need for Jesus and take the next step of placing his faith in him!

Pray also for the other 14 students (pictured below) who came with us to the conference. Many of them are praying about how they can live out their faith on campus and about applying for summer mission trips this summer. Pray that they would grow in impacting others for Christ!
